College fees
We understand that a Women’s experience represents a significant investment for any family. We pride ourselves on our ability to offer an exceptional college experience including a full board accommodation service at a fair value.

The residency fees cover the costs for the study bedroom, cleaning of the room, full catering (including Formal Dinners) and access to College facilities such as the Study Hub, Playhouse, tennis/basketball courts and the Freda Bage Room. In addition, tutorials, wellbeing support, the Ready to Lead program, security and other benefits of College life are all provided.
The residency fees are levied for the full academic year, excluding the semester vacation weeks, commencing at midday on the first Sunday of each semester, and ending at 10:00am on the final Sunday.
Fees are payable for the entire academic year, irrespective of whether students choose to spend days during the semesters away from College.
The sundry fees cover the costs for students to access all the sporting, cultural and community activities available within College during Orientation Week, some Women’s College merchandise, College registration and Student Club fees. These fees are payable at the relevant time of year.
All costs include GST.
The fees are reviewed and set at the end of October each year.
There are two types of rooms available to students –
- Study Room refers to a single bedroom with shared bathroom facilities
- Ensuite Room shares an ensuite bathroom with another study bedroom

New students will be required to pay a $1,500 deposit within 14 days of a formal offer received to secure their room.
The total cost for a new student to reside in College for the 2024 Academic Year:

Additional charges – There are additional charges that relate to the Student Club, registration and O Week fees which are applied on a per academic year (depending if the student is new or returning). These fees primarily help cover costs associated with O Week, social, sporting and cultural activities that the Student Club is responsible for administering.
Students may also purchase merchandise on the online store using a credit card.
The voluntary contribution fee is allocated to the Equity Future Fund which supports much-needed bursaries for students to ensure equitable access to both a quality university education and the rewarding residential college experience for all young women, regardless of their background.

Vacation Fees: Study Room is $80 per day. The fees will be added to the next fee account.
Invoicing for the residency fees is prepared, in advance, on a quarterly basis for domestic students and per semester for international students. Please note that sundry items such as O Week and Student Club fees are added to the first invoice. The payment schedule table below relates to the residential fees only:

*$1,500 deposit paid in 2023 deducted from Term 4 fees. Returning Third Year Residents receive a 15% discount. Returning Fourth Year Residents receive a 30% discount. Discounts are automatically applied to invoices.

Accounts: All accounts will be emailed to the nominated account email address and must be paid by the invoice due date. Should you wish to check or change the nominated account email address, please contact the College.
Late Fees: If an account is overdue, a $10 overdue fee will be applied for each week that the account remains unpaid.
Family Discount: Where two sisters live in College simultaneously, a 7.5% discount will be applied to one of the sister’s accounts as determined by the College. Where two siblings live at Women’s and St Leo’s College simultaneously, a 3.75% discount will be applied to each sibling at both Colleges.
Guest Fees – Meals: Students may bring guests to College meals. The cost of a casual guest meal will be added to the next fee account or the student or guest can pay at reception.
Guest Fees – Room guest: Students are permitted to have an occasional overnight guest. Fees apply. More information can be found in the College Handbook.
All meals not covered by the above charges will be billed through guest meal vouchers.
