Project Description

2024 Academic Dinner & Alumnae Awards

The 2024 Academic Dinner & Alumnae Awards was an evening where we honoured the exceptional scholarship of our students and acknowledged the finalists and winners of the Alumnae Awards. This event is a highlight on the College calendar, and was held on Thursday 7 March in the Harriet Marks Dining Hall.

The evening began with an address by Guest Speaker Amanda Johnston-Pell (Alumna 1989 – 1991). Following Amanda’s address, First-Year Resident Keely McKenzie performed Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

A total of 23 residents from a diverse range of backgrounds and study areas received prizes for academic, leadership and other significant achievements. Following the announcement of the prizes, we acknowledged the Academic Excellence Achievements of our residents and associates who earned a GPA of 6.0 or above during the 2023 academic year. Seventeen residents then received Scholarships for demonstrated excellence in academia, sport and cultural pursuits as well as leadership.

Our Alumnae Award finalists were recognised before the winners for 2024 were announced. Click here to read about the winners.

The Women’s College congratulates all students and alumnae recognised at the 2024 Academic Dinner & Alumnae Awards for their achievements.
