Academic Gown (second-hand)
An Academic Gown is worn by Residents and Associates at every Formal Dinner and other special academic occasions. The gown is a full-length robe with open bell sleeves.
Academic Gowns are intended to be loose-fitting. In Australia, we follow the UK tradition and gowns are worn open at the front over clothing and should drape down to the mid-to-lower-calf.
Sizing
Please note that with the purchase of a second-hand Academic Gown, the size of the gown you receive will be determined arbitrarily (i.e. The Women’s College cannot guarantee that you will receive the size you prefer).
Other notes
- A limited number of second-hand gowns are available while stocks last
- Second-hand Academic Gowns will be ready for collection on 2025 Family Day (Sunday 16 February 2025)
