Project Description

Alumnae living and working in Melbourne and Sydney had the opportunity to celebrate 110 years of The Women’s College and catch-up with each other at our Interstate Alumnae Events.

Melbourne

Our 110th Anniversary celebrations continued on Wednesday 20 March with alumnae living and working in Melbourne. It was a wonderful occasion, catching up with inspirational women across the decades, including three alumnae who were transitional students that experienced college life at our Kangaroo Point campus before living at our UQ campus at St Lucia from 1958.

A big thank you to Paula Wilton (alumna 1988 – 1990), one of the College’s Network Ambassadors, for assisting with this special alumnae event.

Sydney

Thursday 21 March saw an unforgettable alumnae event in Sydney. A group of inspirational women who have graced our College across the decades were reunited, and among them were three remarkable alumnae who held the leadership position of Student Club President.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Amanda Johnston-Pell (alumna 1989 – 1991), a distinguished member of our College’s Network Ambassadors group, for her invaluable support in orchestrating this unforgettable gathering of alumnae at the 18 Footers Club.
