2023 Alumnae Tour

Our popular Alumnae Tours provide access to historical and notable sites around our local Brisbane community. This year’s Alumnae Tour took us to the home of the Queensland Ballet, the Thomas Dixon Centre in West End, which has undergone a transformational redevelopment of a heritage-listed building.

Thank you to our wonderful tour guide, who shared with us how the Thomas Dixon Centre has been transformed into a world-class performing arts destination and cultural precinct. From behind the scenes, we experienced many highlights including the state-of-the-art 351-seat Talbot Theatre, the six dance studios named after prominent ballet artists, a wellness suite for dancers, stunning art displays, the Kite Terrace, and the Bunker Barre (used as an air-raid shelter in World War II) which will open to the public soon.
